MAUS Fire Suppressor is certified for fire classes B and C but can also fight Class A and F fires in the initial stage. Thanks to the new fire protection technology, this fire suppressor is also suitable for small electrical fires and lithium battery fires. Introduction

Pull out the manual safety pin from the bottom of the unit.
Take a starting position one meter away and aim the device at the base of the fire
Press the yellow start button once to activate the device.
Hold the fire extinguisher firmly and refrain from sweeping movements. Approach the fire as it loses strength to extinguish it completely. It is important that all smoke (aerosol) lands on the fire.

How does MAUS put out fires with potassium-containing smoke?

The harmless, non-toxic MAUS aerosol smoke encapsulates combustible particles in their smallest form and prevents re-ignition. As a result, the fire will go out completely without endangering your or other people's health. The developed suppression agent produces pyrotechnic aerosols, which have the ability to stop the free radicals in the fire.

Does it remove the oxygen?

No, you will be able to breathe well even after using the MAUS Fire Suppressor. There is a neutralization of hydrogen, oxygen and hydroxide radicals in the flame, meaning it does not extract or remove oxygen from the flame. CO2 fire extinguishers have a large filling volume and, unlike the MAUS Fire Suppressor, can endanger people by removing oxygen.

Why is it not certified according to a 3-7 as a standard fire extinguisher?

There is currently no standard to certify our extinguishing agent (potassium) against. We have been in contact with the major testing agencies, but the extinguishing agent is too new for them to be able to certify the extinguishing agent against any standard.

What is the difference between extinguishing a fire with powder and potassium smoke?

Powder is great as an extinguishing agent, but also great at destroying everything in its path. The potassium mix does not destroy anything. However, it is difficult to measure up to the extinguishing power of a powder extinguisher.

What does it mean that the product is not pressurized? Can it explode?

No, it can't. Our technology is PGA. Pyrotechnically generated aerosol. This means that we use a different technology than conventional pressurized fire extinguishers. Our products are not activated by pressure but by a small pyrotechnic device that triggers the solid potassium compound to create a chemical reaction that heats it and converts the solid compound into nanoparticles (the white smoke).

The product warranty is 5 years from the date of manufacture, any services required for the 5 year duration or just replace it every 5 years?

No, it is completely maintenance-free. Replace the product after 5 years. The new lifespan of MAUS Xtin Klein is 6 years from the date of production.
